Everyone at KHT would like to wish you all a very happy holiday season and merry Christmas! As we move into 2023, we hope the new year is a happy and healthy one for us all.

This year has been one of change, development and new directions for KHT. With a new Director, new staff in the UK KHT team and new staff in Thailand, we are working to ensure we can efficiently support our projects, fundraising and improve the impact of our work for the Karen. You can read case studies and KHT news on our Latest News page and meet our team and trustees here.

To improve our WASH Programme we have introduced new filters, more water testing and improved monitoring and evaluation. Our Livelihoods Programme continues to make a vital impact on alleviating poverty and reducing food security for Karen villages and we continue to support Karen children and youth, including a new focus on health and education.

We also welcomed volunteers back to Khun Yuam since the beginning of the Covid 19 Pandemic. You can read about their experiences here and here. We also held our annual Jungle Trek and welcome intrepid trekkers who are helping us raise vital funds whilst experiencing life in Karen villages and witnessing our work in action.

We are thankful to all our donors, supporters, staff and volunteers for their support, donations and hard work. KHT’s success in 2022 has only been possible thanks to you. This year we:

We are moving into the new year with renewed intent on supporting the marginalised Karen people and we are grateful for your ongoing support!
