Alexandra Dixon

Although Alexandra is a dual national American and British, her entire working life has been spent in the UK. She spent 14 years at the Zoological Society of London, starting as Assistant to the Director of Zoos and ending up as Director of Field Conservation managing projects around the world. Through this, she has vital experience finding and applying for project funding.  From ZSL, she moved to be Overseas Director for the Lewa Wildlife Conservancy in Kenya where she was responsible for growing the organisation’s profile internationally, increasing its funding base and generating project proposals for donor support. Alexandra is now Director of Special Projects for The Eden Project with responsibility for their growing portfolio of “Wild Sites” in Chad and Costa Rica amongst others.
