The 5th of September is the International Day of Charity and a day to acknowledge the vital work charities do and to support their fundraising and awareness raising.

KHT’s work is a vital form of support for marginalised and often forgotten Karen hilltribes. On this day we are launching a special challenge for our supporters to help us raise funds for our School Bus Programme.

You can sign up to the challenge and complete walking 50km (31 miles) in one month. This will highlight the distance that Karen school children are expected to travel for school and also the distance our School Buses help to overcome to ensure children can safely get to school everyday!

You can do it as a personal challenge, or ask others to sponsor you. It is a great way to get your steps in, improve your own health and activity and help us support Karen children! Please do also share this with your friends and family and encourage others to join you.
