A secure and sustainable future for all Karen communities in Northern Thailand
To empower Karen communities to improve their health, education and livelihoods
Since 1986, we have provided…
People with clean water and sanitation, supporting improvements in health
Children and young adults with access to education, enhancing future opportunities
Farmers with reliable irrigation, helping to secure livelihoods
Meet Jintra and her family! They live deep in the forests of the Salawin National Park in a village which lies 100km from the nearest town.
Jintra is one of KHT’s scholarship recipients, which means she can continue her studies at college. As well as a scholarship, the family have also benefited from a KHT water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) project. Jintra’s father, Mala Ei, volunteered alongside our team every day to install the clean water system, and build and repair latrines whilst also taking part in the hygiene education sessions in the village.

Support Our Work!
As a small, yet dedicated charity, we rely on the generosity of our supporters to be able to do the amazing work that we do. Without them, we wouldn’t have been able to provide over 200 Karen communities with clean water, install 91 irrigation systems to support improved livelihoods, or increase access to education for over 17,500 children.
Your support, however big or small, is therefore vital. If you are able to offer support, then please considering donating today, or seeing how else you could get involved!Donate Get Involved
